Backpack: Malacca

I have always wanted to feel the extreme futility of travelling alone(YES, FUTILE!). It is to me, an exceptional experience. Travelling alone saves energy, time, and a lot of fuss.
Right, I'll let the pictures do the talking.

This is why KL sucks
That's extremely trivial.
Ample of empty seats on the bus.
I arrived at Melaka Sentral and decided to walk to the hotel in Jonker Street. Taking taxi isn't my cup of tea =P
My journey from Melaka Sentral to Jonker took me through the residential areas of Melaka.
Narrow road, and I was all alone.
Passed by this church, I like the symbols of the Five Bread and Two Fishes on the wall.
Right, I got lost and I walked for an hour and a half-until I reached Bukit Cina. The weather was good so I didn't mind venturing around with a 15kg backpack.
Ooo La La~~ Reached the town area
This church was built in 1840s. One of the earliest churches in Malaya.

Parody: This is the Pelanduk that kicked Parameswara's dogs into the river. Intoxicated by rage, the ego prince cleared the forest to hunt for the mouse deer. But the mouse deer was too agile for him. After hundreds of misses, some from as close as 2 meters, he gave up. He found out that he really sucked as a hunter so he returned and interviewed for the job of a King instead, and he got it.
Sungai Melaka
I reached the hotel at 2:57pm. Mission accomplished. Call me a fool, I call myself adventurous =P
Mosque

I rested until 730pm and got up for dinner. I decided to pamper myself a bit so I went in this expensive-looking restaurant. Only 2 tables were occupied so you know what to expect.
Lamb Chop. RM 16.00
Dessert: Chocolate Brownies, RM 8

Auntie~~ you kuat lihai ah~~
At 10pm I passed by this food stall and.... the food didn't attract me, the price did. So I sat down and... indulged =P

Right, it was really a tiring day. Tmrw I shall visit several places of interest and.... maybe meet up with UM dayao members for dinner =P

Does Torture Work?

We've watched it on TV, we know it all: you get caught, get dragged into the cellar, and they punch you, electrocute and plunge your head in water just to make you confess some crime you haven't commit.

Most of us believe that it really works--beating vital information out of a criminal could save lives. Well, if mutilating John Doe's penis is going to stop a bomb going off in my favourite football stadium then hand me the dagger.

Parody-Produa Set to Join Formula One in 2011

KUALA LUMPUR-Produa Sendirian Berhad is set to join next year's F1 race for the first time in its 17-years history.

The Malaysian automobile manufacturer has been awarded a grid spot as one of two new teams for 2011.

“It is truly an historic day for Perodua Sendirian Berhad.” said Mr Benzene Karisma, the company’s spokesperson in a press conference held here today at Sepang.

“For too long, we have been unfairly discriminated against as 'little brother' of Proton, simply because we’re founded 10 years later. For far too long, we have been the subject of insults, simply because we have a tendency to create small family cars, and the people call us pengecut. Well, today these cowardly acts stop!"

The company was established in 1993 and launched their first car, the Perodua Kancil in late 1994.

“We are not just a small new team, we have the possibilities to be a very substantial team, because we have powerful engines as well as experienced mechanics in our camp. We should be able to demonstrate how good we are to the other teams.”

"We make small cars, and that's really important in a race. We have agility, which is very important when it comes to pit stop. We could park the car fast enough to make a winning pit stop, and probably even make both cars come in simultaneously!" He continued gleefully.

When asked about potential drivers to pilot the cars, the newly appointed team manager, Anthony Lun, said that the company is seriously considering seven-times World Champion Michael Schumacher, pairing with a Malaysian racer, Ahmad Faizee.

"Ahmad has experience in Go-Kart before, despite losing in all competition."

"But let's face it, Go-Kart isn't easy to win, the sharp turns and all..."Lun continued. "But his determination in every competition is what makes us attracted to him. He has got the Malaysia Boleh spirit, and that's what we want."

"We have spoken to Mike and he's kind of attracted."He said confidently. Lun however said that if Schumacher decides to come over, it would not be a walk in the park for the veteran.

“Look, we pay him money to help us win races and the championship,” said the team manager. “It’s not going to be a holiday. We are a very strict team, no question about that. He may be a star but here, Mike would have to prove to us all his worth."

"I would probably put him in the probation team first, see how he fare with our speed-you know our engine could probably outrun Ferrari and Red Bull anytime."

"It will be a huge challenge… we will be releasing the car late, hopefully modified from our current Perodua Viva model, and that has reliability aspects. And we'll target being the best of the cars on the grid and I would hope by end-season we are challenging teams like Ferrari, Renault and Red Bull. That's not impossible."

Is Wi-Fi Killing Trees?

The Daily Mail have a story that Wi-Fi might be killing trees in Holland. Wow, that's....... pretty cool, though I can confidently tell you it’s probably nonsense.
