When asked whether Bieber would join Barisan National (BN) or Pakatan Rakyat(PR), Ikanmasin replied that the decision has not been made. When contacted, Bieber said that the primary reason of contesting is because he enjoys "the money and glamor that come with it"
"Pelangai has a special place in my heart; the people, and the food especially. Ooohhhhh, the nasi dagang, laksa, pisang emas." he said.
The locals, meanwhile, are excited of Bieber's participation in the coming election.
“Of course, I'll definitely cast my vote for him,” said business owner Jenny Liu, 36,
“I am confident that Justin would stand by the rights and fight for the welfare of every Pelangai citizen if he got elected.
"His flawless face, god-like voice and enchanting eyes just tell me that Pahang would benefit greatly from his handsome features, and that development would flow in, like his beautiful blond hair. I would vote for him twice if I could. No. Five times!”
"Who knows,” said Kuantan-based school teacher Aisyah binti Morshi, staring blankly at a picture of the superstar, which she carries with her anywhere she goes.
“Maybe he should come to Kuantan instead and fight against the rare earth factory."
“Justin Bieber reflects true beauty,” said retiree Joyce Zhu, 42.

The BN candidate for Pelangai constituency, current Menteri Besar of Pahang Adnan Yaakob declined to comment on this matter. Both BN and PR have yet to comment on Bieber's alleged move.
When told that nasi dagang is available only in Kelantan and Terengganu, and laksa is more prominent in Penang, Johor, and Melaka, Bieber tried to cover up his mistakes by laughing hysterically.
